It’s just been a of day since Realme landed here in the country of Pakistan with a star-studded launch event in Lahore, and it appears as though they’re headed toward a decent beginning by launching their entry level battery lord gadget, the Realme C1.

About Realme:

Realme is an offshoot of the Chinese brand Oppo, and aims to provide smartphones under Rs. 20,000 for the “young people around the world.”

The Realme C1 is a brilliantly designed device with a complete bezel-less display having a notch on top.

It has a strong form with metallic side finish which gives a superior feel, making it comfortable to hold even if you have small hands.

At front, we have a 6.2-inch 19:9 HD+ display with a notch that holds the 5MP front camera, the sensor, and the call speaker.

On the right we find the power/lock button, while the volume keys and the triple card slot can be found on the left.

Down below, there’s the audio grille, the 3.5mm audio port, the microphone, and the micro-USB port. Can’t complain about the micro-USB, though, as this is a budget phone.

Now, at the back, we get this this glossy black poly carbonate surface, which I think looks really nice. The body is made up of plastic, but despite that, this phone actually looks premium and doesn’t look ‘cheap’ nor fragile. Here we will also find 13MP + 2MP rear cameras and the Realme Logo at the bottom. The phone has no fingerprint scanner at all.

This Smartphone is truly enormous with a 6.2-inch show with HD+ resolution. In case you’re not very particular about display, this phone is in reality better than decent. Shades are exact and seeing edges are great. It’s additionally sufficiently splendid to be utilized outside. There’s an alternative in settings that you can use to modify screen temperature, which is decent. There’s likewise Night Shield that enables you to maintain a strategic distance from eye strain by diminishing blue light from the screen. With respect to the score, there’s no alternative to completely shroud it, however there’s this Notch Area Display Control in the display settings that enables you to flip the indent for explicit applications.

For Selfie & shoot lovers, this phone comes with 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, and a 5MP AI front camera. The C1 is also carrying the smart camera features like the depth effect, stickers, panorama, etc.

We were able to take some snapshots it’s pretty decent for an entry level phone. Colors are good and it can take relatively sharp photos in good lighting

 OS, UI, and Apps

Now onto the software kind of things, this phone is running on Color OS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

We’re also getting the floating windows feature which lets you access screen recording, screenshot, and open apps like Message when in full-view mode. Overall, you’re just getting the same treatment.

Pre-installed Google apps are present, as well as few third party, but I’m glad that they can be uninstalled as they consumed nearly 2GB out of the 16GB internal storage.

What really matters is the performance. This phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. Due to its meager RAM Since this phone doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner,

Connectivity and Battery Life

The C1 is packed with your usual connectivity suite such as WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, and GPS. So far, call quality is clear and besides, this is highly dependent on how good the reception is in your area. GPS locks in quick and can accurately pin your location when using navigation apps like Google Maps etc.

I find plus point of selling this phone is its large battery capacity. This phone is freakingly crazy that with 4,230mAh battery  lasted me a day or two. That included doing activities like surfing the web, streaming videos, taking pictures and a bit of gaming. Our PCMark battery test yielded 17 hours and 30 minutes while our video loop test lasted for 24 hours/1 day.

Charging from 0% to 100% took around 2 to 3 hours at most.

6.2 inch display is gonna come in this phone but resolution of this phone is limited to 1520 x 720 pixels. Realme C1’s pixels density is 271 pixels per inch that seems to nice amount of pixels in per inch space and it gave a nice and bright look while watching images and videos on the display of C1.

Color option given in this phone includes Mirror Black and Navy Blue colors that makes this phone nice and shiny. Realme dubbed C1 got pretty big screen regarding its other specifications.

Snapdragon chip:

One more nice thing about this smartphone is that this one is gonna launch with Snapdragon 450 chip which is manufactured on 14nm chip

Plastic body of the phone looks nice and shiny with shiny colors and display is protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which we have seen in another phone of Realme and this one is getting same protection so C1 have solid display capable to stand against scratches.

Adreno 506 chipset is included in combo so it can handle the graphical department of the phone nicely.

C1 by Realme got 2 GB of the RAM which is coupled with the 16 GB of the internal storage which also got an additional SD slot to accommodate the SD card of the Realme C1.

if we talk about the processor of C1 then it is based on an octa core processor which has a clock speed of 1.8 GHz and cortex A53 is also attach with the processor to keep the check on the performance of C1.
