[Lahore: 10 March 2018]: Among Pakistan’s most eminent couturiers with an driving passion and focus on reviving native textile and craft heritage,  Nida Azwer is set to showcase ‘The Mughal Court’ Collection at her solo show for PFDC.

‘The Mughal Court’ stays true to the designers love for revitalizing textiles and embroideries of the sub-continent. Reviving these age old techniques of embroidery and fabric manipulation, the collection  takes inspiration from the scenes oft found at the Mughal Courts, reinterpreting classic cuts within a modern mood. Her love for dupattas and flowy silhouettes takes you back in time with exquisite, fine, hand embroideries, experimenting with fabrics to create different textures, layering, 3-D work and leather cutwork with each piece weaving a story of its own. Using light and airy fabrics such as organzas, muslins, nets and silks, the brand reinvents classic dupattas, lengas, kalidaars, and cholies with modern variations. The collection’s colour palette is primarily based in shades of mauve, blue, gray, gold and ivory. For The Mughal Court, Esfir by Hafsa and Tasbih designed a bespoke collection on jewellery titled “The Gilded Garden”.

“We are delighted to showcase our latest work at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week platform and more so, to put forward a collection true to the heart and soul of our atelier; that which is rooted in tradition, vintage and classic, yet reworked within a more contemporary context.” said Nida Azwer.
